Deep green verdite or African jade and soft grass green crystal pearls make a gorgeous one of a kind, designer necklace. The dark green verdite gemstone beads have shots of deep red and softer pale green. We paired this lovely stone with shimmering green crystal pearls to add a touch of elegance.
This one was designed by Tony who loves to throw out the rule book. The necklace begins with a neat, elegant alternating pattern. Then he adds his trademark quirk - several crystal pearls on one end and several verdite gemstones on the other. He does love asymmetrical designs. He added a warm red copper extender chain to as a final design element,
The beautiful necklace is choker length at 16 inches long. The 3 1/2 inch copper extender chain gives you the option of wearing this at a longer princess or even matinee length. A copper lobster clasp completes the timeless, elegant design.
The coins in the third picture are a 2016 US Lincoln Head penny we used as a size gag. The larger lower coin is a 1960 Halfpenny (Ha'penny). The third very small coin is a Jewish Mite from between 103-76 BC. The later two are more for the history and interest than as size gauges.
There is another reason why we added the older coins. The stones we use are beyond ancient, having been formed when the earth was formed. Working with rocks that are millions of years old is awe inspiring. We both feel the same way when we hold a coin from ancient Israel, a coin made famous in the story of the widow's donation. Does this make us romantics? Unabashedly. We are jewelry designers - romance is all a part of that art form.
